Read about teachers leading Indonesian students on their own mission trip. PDF

A Christian international school in Indonesia provides a unique setting for teachers who want to serve and would enjoy a tropical place. They teach missionaries’ and business leaders’ children in various academic subjects, as well as through biblical teaching and lifestyle. A high school teacher in Ethiopia provides instruction in math while reaching out to a community through a reading room, child development center, and a Saturday Bible class for children.

Literacy workers in Kenya and Tanzania lay a foundation for the churches to be led by nationals as Christians are enabled to read and study the scriptures for themselves. In several countries, HIV/AIDS instruction coupled with Bible study is impacting lives and communities. These specialized jobs integrate well into CMF’s church-planting and marketplace ministries.

At this point in the world’s history, English is the preeminent language of communication, and has become one of the most important means for acquiring access to the world’s intellectual and technical resources. As the medium of science, technology, and international trade, English is the contact language between nations. Teaching English as a Second Language provides a welcome platform for marketplace workers to enter countries and provide a service for the people of those countries. English classes and clubs offer a natural bridge for building relationships as a means for sharing the Gospel of Christ. In open countries, learning English provides national Christian leaders with skills to improve their way of life and to give opportunities for their churches to influence their communities and nations.
