Kosovo

Fifty thousand people live in the 2.5-square kilometer village known as Kosovo. They are from the tribes of Kikuyu of central Kenya, the Kamba of eastern Kenya, and the Luhya of western Kenya. Most work in small businesses and casual jobs and live in tin houses. A few live in homes made of brick.

This village has a Post Test Club (support group) of about 50 members who are living with HIV/AIDS. The club is strong and members are making good progress. A CHE (Community Health Evangelism) committee has been trained and members are training new Community Health Evangelists. Their goals are to create employment opportunities and improve sanitation.
