Their work

We serve on a CMF church catalyst team in Kenya, partnering with CMF-planted churches begun among the Maasai and Turkana peoples.  Collectively, these churches are known as the Community Christian Church (CCC), the legal name of our fellowship of churches here in Kenya. Our title is Curriculum Development Coordinators with the primary ministry responsibility being to help those churches by developing culturally appropriate curricula in the local languages. Our goal is to help the Maasai learn how to do this themselves.  As we have learned the Maa language, our focus has been on the Maasai churches, but as the believers share Jesus with other tribes, our role will expand. We are also involved in various training activities: discipleship, leadership development, implementing curricula and using materials, Sunday school teachers’ training, and teaching courses for elders and pastors.  We also occasionally teach some courses for the Mission Institute of East Africa and for the Turkana Bible Training Institute.
