CMF’s Benefits

We believe in teamwork as the most effective way to do missions. Our desire is to fulfill this task with excellence, to partner with churches, and to assure the well-being of our missionaries. CMF is a team that has chosen to share responsibilities and resources, and to provide what our experience indicates is critical for carrying out our purpose.

Leadership
Participation in the worldwide team of CMF with all of its experience, culture, reinforcement, direction, encouragement, accountability, prayer, network, and support.
Vision, missiology, and mission experience applied to long-range planning and strategic direction of the mission.
Oversight and direction by the volunteer Board of Directors (biannual meetings).

Finance
Financial management of budgets, contributions and receipting to donors, disbursement of salaries and field funds, oversight of assets and benefits.
Maintain compliance with IRS regulations, Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability rules, and yearly audit by an outside agency.
Furlough planning, assistance with vehicle, budget planning, financial provision through reserves.
Monthly reports to missionaries showing account income, donors, and disbursements from their funds.
Audit in compliance with Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
Salaries and benefits established and managed, international healthcare, pension, travel reserves.

Fields
Logistics such as visa procurement, shipping, immunization directions, shipping materials/supplied to field.
Strategic planning for the mission to provide an overall vision for the organization and mutual agreement on the annual objectives and the mission statement.
Exploration of new ventures: urban poor, global youth, entry into limited-access nations, etc.
Research for new field entries.

Mobilization
REACH summer international internship program to develop missions interest in young people.
Scouting, selection, compilation of fields needs, pre-field preparation.
Support-raising training and assistance, with appropriate strategies for church participation through prayer, personal encouragement, and finances.

Member Care
Crisis intervention (death, illness, trauma on the field), personal development training, interpersonal issues.
Assessment Center, along with psychological and physical tests, to ensure CMF missionaries are suited to their tasks.
Development and direction for our missionary field teams.
Orientation modules for new missionaries on the field and team modules for continued education.

Partnership
Missions information, education, reporting to churches, including critical issues updates.
Promotion at state and national conventions.
Prayer newsletters, displays, audio-visuals, routine information, and response to church and donor needs.
Assistance with logistics, orientation, set-up for short-term trips and joint projects.
