Salamanca, Spain
Salamanca offers the advantages of a city, yet the intimacy of a village. Spanish students are everywhere – strolling the ancient streets, visiting in the pubs, meeting in the Plaza Major. And not too far away is En Vivo, Globalscope-Spain’s campus house where campus ministers invest time and interest in students, seeing them grow and walk closer to Christ, encouraging them to lead and capture a vision of what God can do with them. Come to the house, and you will find students, interns, US exchange students, and staff members building a community of love and acceptance.
Tertulia: Every Tuesday students flood into the campus house to enjoy a wonderful homemade meal, conversation around the table with other students, and a devotional talk about real issues that they face today and the wisdom we find in response to these issues in the Bible.
Café Ingles: Wednesday evenings we open the campus house to all students who want to enjoy a cup of coffee and practice English.
¡En Vivo!: Every other Thursday night students gather for Bible study, which consists of food, music, skits, community, a chance to grow through the study of God’s Word, and a time of worship music.
El Nucleo: Every other Thursday our leadership/discipleship group meets. The Nucleo is formed by students who are at the heart of the En Vivo ministry and have shown a real desire to learn, serve, and lead.
Retreats: Twice a year (fall and spring), we take a group of students on a retreat. Retreats provide an opportunity to get out of Salamanca for a weekend and to grow in community, friendships, and to learn more and grow in relationship with Christ.
