Puebla, Mexico
We’re called El Pozo (The Well), but students all over Puebla just call it the green house (“la casa verde”), where people from all over the world are experiencing the love of Jesus Christ in community and learning what it means to follow Him. The house is adjacent to the campus of la Universidad de las Americas Puebla, where our exchange students are going to school, making friends, playing sports, joining clubs, and living in dorms, but students come from many local universities to become part of El Pozo and all that’s happening here.
¡En Vivo! Every Tuesday @ 8 p.m., with funny skits, great music, a relevant talk on the Bible, free food, and good friends.
Pozomida. Thursdays @ 2 p.m. – free food, a short devotional talk, games, and good friends.
Missions and community service. Whether it’s hanging out with the kids at a local orphanage, helping to bring clean water to a nearby town, building houses for needy families, or spending the summer in Africa, El Pozo students and staff are deeply involved in glocal missions on a regular basis. El Pozo also spends the first Friday of each month making a difference in our local community through an event called Yo Amo Cholula!
Retreats. Once a semester the whole community gets away for a weekend of being together and going deeper.
Small groups, mentorships, and leadership groups. The El Pozo staff and student leaders believe in making disciples by being disciples. We dive deeper into God’s Word and what it means to follow Jesus every chance we get.
