1. Complete and submit a Preliminary Information Form
The Preliminary Information Form (PIF) is not an application, and submitting a completed form does not obligate you or CMF in any way. This background information assists the staff in answering your questions about field service with CMF.

2. Complete and submit a Missionary Associate Application
A completed Missionary Associate Application (MAA) and the $50 application fee show that you are ready to begin the steps of affiliation for short-term missionary service with CMF.

3. Solicitation of references
Each of the references named in your MAA receives a Confidential Reference Form to fill out and return to us.

4. Psychological assessment
You will be given a confidential psychological assessment by our Director of Member Care.

5. Interview
You will be interviewed to complete your evaluation and to answer any questions that you might have.

6. Applicant status
After the interview, you may be recommended for Recruit status. Following that, you will visit the Missions Service Center in Indianapolis, IN, raise support, and complete the recommended field preparation.
