Support Raising Training

An important step in your pilgrimage from affiliation to arriving on the field is your Support Raising Training (SRT). SRT is normally held twice a year, and your SRT attendance will be scheduled in coordination with your support-raising coach.

During this intense and full 3 days of training in Indianapolis, the staff will provide further orientation to CMF, equip you with skills for raising support, and help you develop your support-raising strategy. You will have individual meetings with Leadership Team members regarding your budget, support-raising plan, specific field ministry, communication tools, and additional services available to you. Soon after SRT, you will receive your personal promotional materials (display, printed materials, etc.). Throughout your support raising, your coach will continue to assist you with your specific questions and challenges.

Raising support places you in a special relationship with churches and individuals who choose to partner with you through prayer, finances, and encouragement. They will become involved both in your life and in your ministry. Support raising in CMF is done in the context of a ministry that blesses both the giver and the receiver, which moves the work of the Kingdom forward.

If recruits find it necessary to receive a stipend for the last portion of their support raising, their account must have sufficient monthly income to cover stipend, insurance, monthly housing costs (rent and utilities), and support-raising expenses. Missionary Associates begin receiving their salary when they arrive on the field.
