Children love Wednesday night Kids’ Club, while their
moms enjoy the fun and fellowship of the Tuesday morning Ladies’
Club. These activities, developed in partnership with Wheeler
Mission Ministries, among others touch the lives of a portion
of the immigrant Hispanic community in Indianapolis (almost
1/10 of the city’s million population). Veteran missionaries
-- Phil & Kathy Banta, Humberto & Becky Ramirez, Gary
& Ingrid Rich -- form a ministry team named Mano de Amistad/Hand
of Friendship that has planted one church, and is preparing
to launch two more. Training Hispanic leaders is of the highest
priority.

Southern California has long been noted for being home to people
of Hispanic heritage as well as immigrant Hispanics from throughout
Latin America. In fall 2005, Fernando & Nona Soto launched
a church, Iglesia Agape, in the Long Beach area that serves
20 families, supports a church plant in Chile, and has baptized
30 people.
