Transforming Lives & Communities

Chile

For university students all around Santiago, Chile’s capital, El Oasis is the place to be almost any day of the week. El Oasis is the Globalscope campus ministry that seeks to touch university students’ lives physically and spiritually. Campus ministers – teamed with interns and US exchange students – host Monday Night Devotional Dinner and Thursday Night Bible Study, worship, karaoke, fun with friends, and opportunities for prayer, all to provide community and an introduction to Jesus Christ.

Projects

New Ministry Vehicle Needed

El Oasis has been faithfully using a 1997 Dodge Caravan since opening their doors in 2003.  The van has been their primary source of transporting students for mission trips, transporting groceries twice a week for Donce and Tertulia, and transporting sound equipment for our retreats that happen twice a year.  Recently, the van’s transmission has failed, and we are in need of purchasing a “new” used ministry vehicle.  Every donation will help us greatly in this much needed project.

Bible Study and a Meal — Chile

One of the most important activities at a campus ministry is the weekly Bible study with a meal. This brings the students together into community both physically and spiritually. For $90, provide 1 Bible study with dinner.
