Germany
The ancient university town of Tübingen in southeastern Germany charms visitors with its crooked little streets, architecture, and historical landmarks. One-third of the residents are affiliated with the university and 24,000 students populate the university. University and town life are very much intertwined. But in the post-Christian academic atmosphere, a deep spiritual need exists.
In fall 2008, our Globalscope team of campus ministers arrived in Germany to begin language learning, prepare the campus house, and to begin building relationships with students. Their focus will be to build community with the university students through weekly fellowship, outreach activities to the campus, sports, retreats, friendship, one-on-one Bible study and leadership groups. Exchange students and interns from the USA and around the world will join them each semester to provide a greater network.
