Board of Directors
CMF desires that its Board represent numerous vocations and a broad geographical base. An attempt is made to achieve some degree of equity in regard to age, experience, leadership style, church background, and attitude. The degree of personal interest, as well as commitment of one’s local congregation in world missions, might also be an indication for valid representation. CMF Board meetings are held biannually, typically in Indianapolis.
As a membership organization, we open the annual election of directors to the Board to those who constitute CMF’s membership (contributing churches, individuals, groups, missionaries, and recruits). These directors, in turn, are responsible for governing the affairs of CMF in keeping with the Bylaws. In giving their support, the churches delegate authority to the Board of Directors to enable CMF to accomplish its purpose.
