Ethiopia Church Catalyst Team
The CMF Ethiopia church catalyst team works with the Kristos Andinet Church (our national partner church) and other like-minded followers of Jesus to expand God’s kingdom in Ethiopia. The team’s mission is to develop disciples of Jesus, cultivate leaders for Christ-centered communities, and engage in holistic ministries.
CMF has been working in Ethiopia for over 50 years and has a rich history of partnership with the Kristos Andinet Church planting churches in unreached areas. Currently, the team is involved in developing disciples as we work alongside Oromo and Gumuz evangelists who are planting new churches in western Ethiopia. The team is also focused on cultivating leaders through our ministry training centers. There are two locations (one in Addis Ababa and one in Assosa) where church leaders can connect with each other as they learn and grow through biblical studies and practical ministry courses.
CMF Ethiopia puts a high value on holistic ministry as well. Some team members serve among the urban poor of Addis Ababa working with children and adults in need, while other team members are involved in digging wells in remote areas of western Ethiopia through our Clean Water Project. There is also a budding prison ministry in the town of Assosa where several team members have worked hard to build relationships and provide prisoners with beds, clean water, and better access to electricity among other things. The Ethiopia team also partners with Bingham Academy, an international Christian school in Addis Ababa, by providing teachers and staff who pour into the lives of children and prepare the next generation for servant leadership.
God desires to bring holistic transformation to the lives of individuals and communities, and the Ethiopia church catalyst team is committed to partnering with God to expand his kingdom in Ethiopia and beyond.
