West Africa

The CMF West Africa team strives to foster a disciple-making movement among an unreached, Muslim people group in francophone West Africa. They live in a rapidly growing city, focusing on incarnating and sharing the gospel with their Muslim neighbors in a local language.

While churches do exist in this context, there is very little engagement with Muslim ethnic groups. The heart of this ministry has been Chronological Bible-storytelling in Muslim family courtyards and with circles of friends. The CMF team aims to remove obstacles for Muslims to hear, understand, and be transformed by Jesus.

This transformation addresses not only spiritual needs, but physical realities as well. This CMF team integrates biblical teaching with community needs in several forms: children’s health clubs, agricultural development, creation care, middle/high school girls’ clubs, urban gardening, and sports clubs.

Because of the humanitarian crisis in this region, many displaced people have fled to the city. The team seeks to meet the needs of those displaced with a food bank, a soap-making micro-enterprise and other projects.

PERSONNEL NEEDS: The team is currently looking for people who are passionate about making disciples in an urban, Muslim context and have giftings in these specific areas: micro business training, sports, urban gardening, job skill training, and youth. If your gifting is not in this list, but your gifts could be used in making disciples in this context, please contact us!
