Meet Our Newest Recruits!
At the end of December, we welcomed a group of new recruits into our Indianapolis office for a week of CMF orientation and training on how to begin their time of raising support. While they each come from different backgrounds and feel called to different fields and ministries, they are now at the point in their mission journeys where they begin the challenging and rewarding task of raising up partners to make their work possible.
Micah Smith is headed to Chiang Mai, Thailand to work with our urban poor team. He graduated from Ozark Christian College with a degree in Music and Worship, a minor in Intercultural Studies, and is currently a global missions resident at Southland Christian Church in Lexington, KY. For his future ministry in Thailand, he will partner with the Prosperous Youth Foundation, an organization working with youth who have lived in or are currently in youth and orphanage homes.
Sierra Reismeier will join our work in Ivory Coast, West Africa, to help lead the Women Together program, a women’s ministry that focuses on educating, empowering, and providing resources to young women facing cultural, social, and health challenges. Sierra graduated from Texas A&M University in 2023 with a degree in Communications and a minor in Business. After graduation, she spent a year in Zambia working with Arise Africa, a non-profit that serves at-risk children by providing education, meeting physical needs, and discipleship.
Hannah Rowe graduated from Auburn University in 2022 with a degree in Social Work. As a student, she was an active member of Auburn Christian Fellowship, where she currently serves as a Missionary Resident. Hannah’s time in university was when she really developed her relationship with the Lord, grew in her faith, and made it her own. She plans to join our Globalscope team in Thailand to provide that same experience for the students there.
Joy Reks will graduate from Milligan University in May with a degree in Student Ministry and will join our Globalscope team in Uruguay. Joy was first introduced to CMF by her church, White River Christian Church in Noblesville, IN, and participated in our 8-week internship called REACH. She interned and served in Montevideo, Uruguay, with the Globalscope team there. The Lord tugged on Joy’s heart during her internship in Uruguay and quickly called her back to serve full-time.
Preslie Horton graduated last year from Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in Political Science. Her journey with CMF began during her college years, culminating in a life-changing internship with our Globalscope campus ministry in Brisbane, Australia, in the summer of 2023. That experience deepened her passion for creating Christ-centered communities and sharing the transformative love of the Gospel with college students in Brisbane.
Stephanie Heredia graduated from Oklahoma Christian with a degree in Business Administration in 2023 and received her master’s in International Business last year. Stephanie plans to join the South Africa team we're assembling to pioneer a new Globalscope campus ministry at Nelson Mandela University in Gqeberha, which has well over 32,000 students and is one of the major universities in South Africa.
That’s our newest group of recruits! Please pray for them as they reach out to potential partners and further prepare for their future ministries.
