“On The Move” students minister to immigrants in Veracruz
Part of Vicki and Greg Syverson's ministry in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico, is discipling, training, and equipping young people for short-term and full-time ministry in many parts of the world.
A piece of this is helping lead “On the Move,” a three-month ministry training school focused on evangelism, discipleship and church planting. There are both night classes for working adults and a full-time school geared towards young people who are hoping to go into ministry.
This past December, 14 of their students traveled to Veracruz, Mexico, to minister to Central American immigrants who travel by cargo train to the U.S./Mexico border.
An excerpt from the Syverson’s update:
"The conditions are so awful that it is difficult to imagine how bad it must be in their home countries to motivate them to attempt this very dangerous trip. Our students were so moved by the situation that some of them gave up the shoes off of their own feet to give to those who didn't have shoes. These will be a greater blessing as the immigrants travel further north into colder climates."
